Liberon Red Fontenay Base

Liberon Fontenay Base is ideal for sealing surfaces and providing a good stable working base prior to gilding, either with leaf or the Liberon Gilt Varnish. Fontenay base helps ensure even colours and helps to warm up gold colours.

• Seals surfaces and provides an undertone prior to gilding
• Ideal for creating a distressed look on a new frame
• Suitable for use on wood or plaster

Preparation
Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from dust.

Application
Apply Fontenay Base with a brush and allow to dry for 1 to 2 hours. Smooth the surface with an extra fine abrasive. Clean brushes in white spirit.
